“We loved the tour! The tour guide Dmitry was very friendly and told us a lot of interesting stories and facts about the Big Almaty Lake, its surroundings and the city of Almaty. The atmosphere was cheerful and we had lots of fun. The (quite challenging) and long hike was absolutely worth the view of the lake! I would just warn the future tourists who opt for this tour: the tour guide wrote in the description that the the difficulty of the hike is "above average". “I booked this hike on a Friday but ended up getting food poisoning, and the organizers were kind enough to help me reschedule to Saturday. The driver and guide met me at my hotel and the total hike took about 4 hours. A little disappointed with the lake receding due to the recent damn that was built, but the hike was beautiful.
